It’s been F_O_R_E_V_E_R

It’s been so long since I have posted, let alone logged in. When there’s not much followers, it’s hard to be motivated to write. 🙂
But I want to make it a point to post at least once a week from now on.
It was a busy month for me, but it is starting to settle down now. It’s been one of those months where you want to read but you can’t find the time to do so. I hate those months. Lol.
I got to spend time with my fiancee’s kids for a week, which was great. We all had a fun time. I decided to go back to school and start taking medical classes. I am currently taking on medical terminology, online of course. 😉
I am currently in the middle of reading The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. This book really has me turning the pages. If you are an animal lover you may like this book. The family dog is the narrator, so it’s all through his point of view. So far it’s great and I can’t wait to finish it soon!

Huli Huli Chicken

So I was blogging yesterday and came to my favorite blog, “BookJourney”. I was scrolling down her blog and came across a yummy picture and recipe she got out of a book. The dish was called “Huli Huli Chicken”, and boy did it make my mouth water and my stomach growl. You can find the recipe in the book “Seven Year Switch” by Claire Cook. I have recently added that book to my wish list. =) So tonight I decided to go out and get the some of the ingredients I didn’t have and make it for my love and me. While cooking, the smell of pineapple and chicken fills your kitchen and there’s not much you can do besides crave crave crave! Needless to say, it turned out great! Next time I am going to cook it on the grill outside to see if that’s the best.

One fresh pineapple (cut up into bites)

Chicken breasts (cut up into bites). I used two chicken breasts which was plenty for (2) people.

One can of frozen pineapple juice concentrate

Two cans chicken broth

Soy Sauce

Ketchup

Powder ginger

Worcestershire Sauce

Mix all those into a large bowl and let sit for some flavor

On a book note: I have been so busy lately and finally just finished “Thirteen Reasons Why”. What a page turner! Every page leaves you hanging and wanting more. If I had the time to sit down this past week, I would have finished it in one sitting. I will post my review tomorrow =)

You just have to love amazon, especially 2-day shipping! i just received two books off my wish list.

Since this month is starting to come to an end, I decided to read “the book-of-the-month” now. Can’t miss that discussion, right? =)

Also, I did post a book for giveaway! Check it out!!

Happy Reading!

Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday!

What a busy day! Woke up early in the morning to clean the house before my loves mother, grandmother, and aunt arrived. When they did, we all went out to lunch which the mother chose mexican: yummmm! Then we all came back to the house to chat for a few hours. Soon after they left, errands had to be done. Now its movies and relaxation time! =)

I am currently reading “Thirteen Reasons Why” by Jay Asher. I am on page 174 out of 288, which means I will have it done by tomorrow morning. I must say, this book is so far sooooo good!

I will be adding a book for the giveaway tomorrow so watch for it! To be entered in, all you have to do is subscribe and leave a comment saying so. Or be entered twice by mentioning my blog and giveaway on your blog. =)
